I was born and raised in Yellowknife – in Chief Drygeese Territory in the Akaitcho Territory – and am proud to call it my home.
I became the 15th Mayor of Yellowknife when I was sworn into office on November 5, 2018. Prior to being elected as Mayor, I served as a Yellowknife City Councillor for two terms, from 2012 – 2018, and worked in communications and community relations for the Diavik Diamond Mine, NGO’s, and the Government of the Northwest Territories.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking, gardening, traveling, and reading. I’m always looking for good book recommendations, so feel free to send me a recommendation and a question about my campaign.

Je suis née et j’ai grandi à Yellowknife, territoire du chef Drygeese dans le territoire Akaitcho.
Je suis devenue le 15e maire de Yellowknife le 5 novembre 2018. Avant d’être élu maire, j’ai été conseiller municipal de Yellowknife pendant deux mandats, de 2012 à 2018, et j’ai travaillé dans les communications et les relations communautaires pour la Diavik Diamond Mine, des ONG et le gouvernement des Territoires du Nord-Ouest.
En dehors du travail, j’aime marcher, jardiner, voyager et lire. Je suis toujours à la recherche de bonnes recommandations de livres, alors n’hésitez pas à m’envoyer une recommandation en même temps qu’une question sur ma campagne.
